Household Charge – Pay before 30 April 2013 to save €70.00
For the minority who have not yet paid, we would recommend paying now to avoid accumulating further late payment fees and interest. The Charge with interest and penalties is €130.00 to Tuesday 30 April 2013.
Households may be aware that the Household Charge has been replaced with the new Local Property Tax from 2013 onwards, which will be administered by the Revenue Commissioners. A half-year charge will apply in 2013 and all outstanding household charge arrears must also be paid.
Where the Household Charge arrears have not been paid by Thursday 1 July 2013, the Local Property Tax in respect of such properties will be increased by €200.00 and will be pursued and collected by Revenue.
